Green Tree Remodeling is like having your personal artist, and environmental scientist all warped into one. I am both an artist and a builder.

Eco-design:
Our Remodeling projects start with design. Design for you, your environment & your home. Eco-Design means design focused on daylighting, multi-use space, natural materials & fun. Green Tree Designed and Built spaces combine age old craftsmanship, with today's technology.

Energy Efficiency:
When Green Tree thinks of Energy Efficiency, we think of living in abundance. Abundance of sunlight, abundance of natural ventilation, abundance of clean air and beautiful spaces. Efficiency means having the space you want while in balance with the planet. And of course, money in your pocket - not the pockets of fossil fuel companies. Energy Efficiency starts with design of the spaces. We asses, how to bring in the sun to heat in winter, how to create shade and cool breezes in the summer. We look at the house as a system. Integrated insulation eliminates cold drafts and thermal bridging to provide maximum insulation efficiency and comfort. We can also retrofit older spaces making them more efficient, and livable.

Green Kitchen
Your kitchen is the source of nutrition and heath. Our remodeling projects focus not only on organizing your kitchen, but making your kitchen an inspiring and healthy place to be. We think not just of electrical outlets, but also of bulk food storage, integrated shelving for cookbooks , and flexible family workstations.


Green Bathrooms
A green bathroom is more then a space to get clean, but a space that is well lit and makes you clean and healthy. We don't cut corners by using paper faced drywall or other products that become breeding grounds for mold spores that can infect your family. Building a green bathroom means high quality materials and doing the job right. Green bathrooms are designed to require minimal maintenance and cleaning products to keep clean.

Garage Gardens:
How can a garage be green? How about a Green Roof garden space with a greenhouse studio below? Most garages are forgotten spaces left for storage and cars. A garage can be so much more. Tour the Green Tree studio to see an example of my own garage that has been transformed to include cars, a greenhouse, a studio & workshop. Think of your garage as free, flexible space that can be recreated to whatever you want it to be. I have also helped to design and build one of Minnesota's first natural prairie green roofs
